Robinsons with us
The Robinson family, one of our Mission Partners, are back with us for the summer. They’ll be at Platt at various points over the spring and summer including May 21st when we’ll interview them in the morning and Paul will preach in the evening. And on July 23rd when we’ll re-commission them before their return. Pray for their time in the UK visiting supporting churches, for work they need to do while here and for rest and refreshment.

These tasks may include moving heavy items, taking things to the tip, building furniture, fixing things etc. We are looking to put a list together of people who are gifted in this area, who we can call on to help when required. If you would be interested in serving Platt in this practical way, please contact Jo (Jo[at]plattchurch.org) in the office to have your name added.

Holiday at Home - 1st-3rd Aug - help needed!H@H (1st - 3rd August) is still looking for helpers to ensure we have a team that’s of a suitable size to be able to run the event. We need people to be able to commit to 1, 2 or 3 days *before* we can let our senior members know they can ‘sign up’ and for us to offer this to more people outside of Platt. The event is such a joyful time to share with and serve our seniors and a wonderful way to talk/meet new folk from Platt.Although the deadline for returning forms was 14th May, we have extended this to ensure we have a large enough team. To develop ideas from the team about how we get that ‘New Orleans Carnival/Mardi Gras’ atmosphere we have our first planning meeting on 14th June and we’d love to know helper numbers before then. Helpers come from all areas/groups of the church including SBS, 20/30s, Roots, House Groups...we’d love you to join the team.Forms available from the back of church, speak to Linda Bonner/Will Carey or email holidayathome[at]platt.org
