REAP Course for anyone interested in being involved in church planting
Are you interested in being involved in Church Planting?The course is called REAP which stand for “Recruit”, “Equip”, “Animate” and “Plant”Training sessions will come from experienced church planters. It will give a feel for the joys and struggles of church planting.
Over this academic year (2017-18) it will involve:-9 Thursdays and 1 Saturday (dates tbc)-First session: Thurs 30th Nov-A commitment to read, pray and prepare for sessions in advance-Being involved in leading prayer and worship at one session with someone else-Doing one book or podcast review during the course-Be part of a small group as appropriateSessions will be at Platt. Carol Service Refreshments - could you help?

Carol Service Refreshments- Items needed
We are collecting mince pies, stollen, tubs of sweets/chocolates and (nearer the time) satsumas ready for serving at our carol services on Sunday 10th and 17th December. If you are able to donate any of the above please bring them to the kitchen.
Faithful and Flourishing- Mon 20th Nov
A discussion around living Biblically in a sexually liberal culture hosted by the Evangelical Networks in the North West.
Speakers include Bishop Keith Sinclair, John Dunnett and Ed Shaw.

Platt Global Prayer Meeting - Tues 28th Nov
The next Platt Global Missionary Prayer Meeting will be on Tuesday 28th November from 19:45-21:00.
It will be at 149 Old Hall lane (Billson’s). All welcome to come and pray.
Next Foodbank collection after Sun 10th Dec
The next collection for our local Fallowfield/Withington Foodbank will be during the week after Sun 10th Dec.
They ask us to supply the following specific items: UHT milk, UHT fruit juice, biscuits, tinned fruit, tinned rice pudding and tinned custard.
Collection bins are in the glass foyer by the Breakout Space Speak to Rachael Rubie or Jo Bull for more information.

2018 Platt Church weekend away - save the date
The 2018 Platt Church weekend away will be Fri 15th - Sun 17th June 2018, we’ll be heading away to Cefn Lea Park (http://www.cefnlea.co.uk), in Wales, for a weekend of teaching and fun as a church family together. There’ll be time to eat together, hear God’s word, hang out and have fun and get to know people from all across the church.
Our speaker will be Paul Gardner. Paul is Senior Pastor of ChristChurch Presbyterian in Atlanta. Before that, his ministry has included teaching at Oak Hill Theological college for seven years, pastoring a church here in the North West for over twelve years and serving as Archdeacon of Exeter. Paul and his wife Sharon moved to Atlanta in 2005.
