Platt Church weekend away - 15th-17th June - booking open
The 2018 Platt Church weekend away will be Fri 15th - Sun 17th June 2018, we’ll be heading away to Cefn Lea Park (http://www.cefnlea.co.uk), in Wales, for a weekend of teaching and fun as a church family together. There’ll be time to eat together, hear God’s word, hang out and have fun and get to know people from all across the church.
Our speaker will be Paul Gardner. Paul was formerly Senior Pastor of ChristChurch Presbyterian in Atlanta. Before that, his ministry has included teaching at Oak Hill Theological college for seven years, pastoring a church here in the North West for over twelve years and serving as Archdeacon of Exeter.

Compass Group Hike - Sat 24th Mar
Saturday 24th March, Compass group meet at Platt for prompt 8.30am departure to the Yorkshire Dales for a moderately strenuous hike to Pen-y-ghent. one of the Yorkshire 3 peaks. This hike is 9.5 miles with 1800ft of ascent. Please bring walking boots, waterproof jacket and trousers and packed lunch. On Fri 20th and Sat 21st April, Richard Borgonon will explain how he has done that with London City businessmen and Glasgow tenement residents with Word One to One.

Sat 21st Apr - A brunch to bring yourself and a friend, neighbour or colleague with whom you’d like to read the Bible.

Glynn Harrison, author of A Better Story: God, Sex and Human Flourishing, will be speaking at Platt on Saturday 20th October. He will be talking about sexuality from a biblical perspective.

The next collection for our local Fallowfield/Withington Foodbank will be during the week after Sun 20th May.
They ask us to supply the following specific items:UHT milk, UHT fruit juice, biscuits, tinned fruit, tinned rice pudding and tinned custard.
