Here at Platt we’re really keen to get to know new people when they arrive.
Throughout the year there are diffferent welcome events planned. Some are bigger and others smaller, but hopefully you’ll find something that you can get to and we encourage you to come along.
What are they like?
A typical evening event involves food of some kind, this might be pizza or a BBQ, depending on the weather (once we even managed a three course meal but no promises). They’re very informal and give you a chance to get to know other people new to Platt, and also some Platt regulars. Steve or Paul (our clergy) will also give an introduction to Platt - telling you about the church, our vision and things you can get involved in like small groups.
We’re aware that not everyone can make evening welcome events so there are also some shorter options planned for just after one of our services. This may be a light lunch or drinks and cakes There’s a similar presentation from one of the clergy.
We hope we’ll see you at one of our events, it’s a great way to start to feel connected and we love the opportunity to welcome you. If you haven’t already, fill in a welcome card to make sure we can invite you to the next one.
You can see the next scheduled welcome events on our calendar.
