Events

Sometimes you don’t need to organise a big mission, put on an impressive event, get the best speakers and singers, when all you really want to do is open a gospel with a friend and read it together. On Friday 20th and Sat 21st April, Richard Borgonon will explain how he has done that with London City businessmen and Glasgow tenement residents with Word One to One.

There are 3 events..

Fri 20th Apr 2pm - An afternoon tea (especially for clergy/ministers)

Fri 20th Apr 7:30pm - An evening session for us as a church family, with Richard sharing the joys and struggles of reading the bible with friends.

Sat 21st Apr 9:30am - A brunch to bring yourself and a friend, neighbour or colleague to hear Richard’s story.

All our services include some singing, reading from the bible, prayer and some teaching on what we’ve read with an emphasis on the teaching of God’s word and responding with heartfelt worship.

Toys and refreshments are provided and Coffee Bar gives parents and carers a chance to have a chat and relax over a nice cuppa whilst the children play. Coffee bar is an open group that aims to welcome everyone into a caring and friendly environment. more info»

We start by eating together then we split into smaller groups to study the Bible. Roots is a great way to get to know other Christians here at Platt, as well as spend a year going verse by verse through a few books of the Bible. more info»

During our time together we play games, have challenges and tournaments and sometimes we do cooking or craft. Twice a term we go on outings such as bowling, climbing or ice-skating. We also spend some time looking at the Bible together, usually in small groups. And we finish with a small tuck shop. Why not invite a friend to come along with you? more info»

We meet together for teaching and fun. It’s a great chance to ask questions, raise issues and talk stuff out to help you understand God’s word better. We also have trips and events during the term. more info»

An inspiring time of study and prayer with women throughout the church, along with some coffee and cakes! As a group, we want to grow in our understanding of the Bible, discuss issues that Christian women face in their day-to-day lives, and pray in triplets for one another. more info»

Small groups from the church who meet up to study the Bible together, pray and develop deeper relationships with each other. Platt’s House Groups are a way to experience God’s gift of church family in a smaller setting (something that occasionally feels a little harder to do in a larger church!). more info»
